Rosacea is a common skin condition that affects many Australians. More common in women, the biggest misconception about rosacea is that it’s simply red, inflamed skin. Over the counter makeup and beauty products are often purchased to conceal the problem. The reality is, rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that needs a medical prescription. Galderma, a dermatology company, offers products to patients suffering with rosacea. ‘Face up to Rosacea’ was a digital campaign to drive patients to it’s respective website. The website guides patients through a series of questions relating to their individual experience with the condition, before creating a personalised appointment guide for the user to take to their next consultation. Real patients with rosacea took part in a photoshoot with fashion photographer Juli Balla highlighting the skin condition within a beauty context with juxtaposing headlines to dispel all rosacea misconceptions.
